...bring your pet to blog #3...

The amazing girls over at port2port started the pet thing and the new 'truth spy' (which I will get to later), but first my pet. Well not my pet, one of my boss’s pets, Buddy. He is quite a character and now is a bit chubby (this is an oldish photo), because he has been sneaking kitten food like crazy.

So I went to see Over the Rhine last night and it was a late great night. They had two opening acts:
Stephanie Dosen who had such an angelic voice contrasted with a mouth like a sailors. She was hilarious. She looks like a little pixie then she opens her mouth and makes you laugh. I was really glad we got to the show early, just to see her.
Then there was Kim Taylor who was really mellow, yet she rocked. The Boy was excited because she was playing on a new brand of guitar that her has heard about, Reverend, and he was glad to know that it sounded good! She had a throaty sort of voice with electric guitar, can't get better than a rocker chick!
Over the Rhine plays great live. And my favorite song is Born whose lyrics pierce my heart:

I was born to laugh
learned to laugh
through my tears

They have such melancholy lyrics that Karin Bergquist sings sweetly into my soul with this lush musical sound, even if there isn't lots instruments playing. Linford Detweiler weaves beauty and grace.

My 'truth spy' (they haven't really named it yet) is this:
Walking to work, running late because I have been having insomnia lately and I am really tired in the mornings and I walked by this man walking his son to school and he had a t-shirt on that made me stop in my tracks and turn around to watch him walk.
TIME
IS AN INVENTION

interesting.....
