painting for friday #18...
Why do I always wait until friday to get my painting done.
After a long day I thought the last thing I would want to do was work on this, but as soon as I started my blood pressure lowered, my anger ebbed and I just sunk into a calm little state.
Here is a close-up of the girl.
As always would love to know what you think.

haven't been by for a few days so it totally caught my eye, especially the close-up of the girl...i find some of your paintings melancholy (but hopeful in a way) so they are very intriguing to me...i like to revisit them occasionally cuz they're kind of like a mysterious story unfolding for me (and goddess knows, i love a mystery!) -- and there's always the delightful possibility as with any art that the beholder reads more from it with their own inner eye than what the artist portrayed from theirs (if that makes sense?)

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! Wendy! I adore this! The scale and negative space is perfect -- the nest in the hair with a mouth full of feathers is like how I feel when I wake up in the morning! He he. It is like thoughts hatching via spoken words. Very very interesting. How much do you want for it?

i love this!!! i have really been into birds lately and am wanting to get a bird tattoo in the next month or so. hey if you're up for a challenge and would like to design it for me (the bird tattoo) that would be fabulous. i've not been able to find what i'm really wanting. i have in mind a cute little bird--more cartoonish than real--with a crown on it's head. below it i'm going to have the words 'live your poem'.
